Inside our Berkeley shop, our repair workbench is home to one of the most unusually qualified luthiers you'll find anywhere, Eric Hamilton. He doesn't simply fix violins and guitars, but koras, ouds, harps, hurdy gurdies, and beyond! With over 40 years of experience working with string instruments, Eric has developed an expertise in repairing musical instruments from all over the world, both electric and acoustic.

How It Works

We specialize in string instrument repairs:

  • Restringing: guitars, harps, ouds, sitars, dulcimers, and more
  • Finish repairs: dings, scratches, and inlay restoration
  • General maintenance & setup

Drop off your instrument during regular store hours. We'll give you an assessment of what's needed and a clear timeline before any work begins.
