The performers in this 60-minute DVD express different traditions, personalities and stylistic approaches through their guitars, yet there is a commonality, not only in the instrument and fundamental approach to it but also in the choice of these players to take risks and to respect tradition. Bob Brozman plays "Hawaiian Greetings" unlike any of the Hawaiian guitarists of the 1920s, yet his version overflows with love of his sources. Peppino D'Agostino uses unorthodox techniques to transform his guitar into a Brazilian rhythm band.
Titles include:
- Stefan Grossman: Sheebeg An Sheemore
- Bob Brozman: Hawaiian Greetings
- Brad Jones: Funky Fingers
- Martin Simpson: Medley: Lord Gregory/Bob's Song
- Peppino D'Agostino: Grand Canyon, Ponteio
- John Renbourn: Sweet Potato, Medley: Lament for Owen Roe O'Neill/Mist Covered Mountains Of Home/The Orphan
- Martin Simpson & Bob Brozman: Bentonia, Chimes Of Timbuktu

I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!

Multifacsited approach to something fun to do!

Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!

I love these little hand carved wood whistles from Brazil

These are great! They have a grand sound!
