Pop Romance for Cello

This collection was written as a progressive link between the collections "A Little Pop Music" and "Pop Music for Violin & Piano," also by Manfred Schmitz. The solo parts of these compositions offer an extensive number of individual interpretive possibilities, with difficulty ranging from easy to advanced. The varied pieces demand sophisticated interpretation from the soloist with regard to all articulations and the accentuation of anticipations. Practice of these pieces with an accompanist will teach the student to follow the piano's lead, to match intensities, and to develop good dynamic shading. Instrumental parts for violin, flute, viola, and cello are available separately. These parts can be used separately or together in unison. In English and German.
