Gutsy and Feral are the two adjectives that leap forward to describe the sound of this didge. Ben Hicks of Colorado never disappoints. Trumpet tones jump to attention when one just thinks about them. With a little settling in and practice, one can just jump to any of the first three trumpets in any order at any time. Many didges with the first trumpet on the octave are controllable like this. Vocals are raw and loud. Slightly kinked didges are often rich sounding at all volumes.
Just solid Aspen, the wood has special grain patterns at the knots where branches grew that make you want to stare. It has nice even silking patterns, and feels light for as big as this didge is. Being Aspen, it is really unbreakably strong, Giants could play baseball with this stick.
Very easy to play in all aspects. It dropjaws a major third with ease and has an excellent controllable upward glissando worth noting, even bragging about. Back pressure is light and makes for easy circular breathing. A beginner friendly didge with professional sound and action. It makes you understand why aboriginals and cavemen liked to play didgeridoos. And it makes you want to try new techniques, cuz you are instantly good at them.

The DG-255 I received from Lark in the Morning was easily as beautiful as presented. The padded gig bag is a huge plus as well.
The guitar is a solid and has a bigger, more forward sound than I'd anticipated which suits me just fine. It plays easily, surely even more so after I have a guitar tech get it set up for me.
Nice people, excellent service, quick shipping. Nothing not to like here.
This whistle has a beautiful, warm tone and is very responsive. I have used a variety of whistles (including other Kerry whistles), and this one is my favorite to play. While recording my latest album, I needed a whistle in this key pretty quickly, and Lark in the Morning had this delivered to me within a few days. I highly recommend this instrument, and Lark in the Morning is a fantastic place to purchase from with excellent customer service.
I already play a mountain lap dulcimer, but this one gives the instrument a whole different dimension to playing. Really beautiful craftsmanship. Thus isn’t a toy, but a lovely wooden instrument. Very easy to play!
Multifacsited approach to something fun to do!
Plays like a dream. I have MS and am no longer able to play guitar, but this uke let's me play songs again and sing. I had no idea how much I'd missed having music in my body. Thanks, Lark!
