The Lark in the Morning penny whistle in the key of D is a great whistle. It is a beautiful instrument with it's matte black finish and gold accents. It has a nice round, mellow tone and transitions easily from the first to second octave and back again. Ornaments are easy to achieve on this whistle, and it doesn't require a lot of air to reach the notes, not even the second octave B note. It is a heavy instrument as penny whistles go but not uncomfortably so. It feels durable, like its made to last a long time. I included a couple of photos, so you can see the difference.
Lark in the Morning was absolutely wonderful to work with. They are friendly, honest, and patient in answering all of my questions. So, if you're in the market for a new penny whistle, and you're serious about sticking with it, then spend the $100.00 on the Lark In The Morning penny whistle. You won't regret it.
Perfect size for the dulcimer I purchased recently!
This is my first Native flute. It’s easy to get a good sound out of the G version I purchased. I’m enjoying learning it with the handbook I also picked up.
It's a beautiful melody and I want to learn how to play it. Thanks for your prompt response and good service...cheers
The bow is well made and produces a rich tone.
I can't say enough good things about this instrument! Although it's a rhythm instrument, it has three notes as well! I had no problem at all picking out tunes! It makes me feel like joining a band!
P. S. It is also good for your nerves!!!
Everything went smoothly with the transaction and my instrument was delivered quickly.
This is a decent whistle that is tunable. It’s lighter in weight than my Susato D that I got in the early 00’s and does not get the same volume that the D gets.
Great set. I like that they have a soft sound.
Fantastic quality instrument, and the flute bag was a nice surprise that I wasn't expecting!
Beautifully made and finished, packed well-padded for protection and shipped for quick arrival even at lowest rates, these hardwood bones are lovely. The DVD, assuming you still have a DVD player (obviously I do) is both educational and instructive - i.e., you get a lot of history and background as well as practical instruction on how to hold the bones and make sound with them. Yes, it'll take a bit to get the hang of it, but this will get you started quite well and keep you going.
Wonderful. Quite fun to play to.
Timely delivery excellent in acquiring pure sound
It is a fun flute, i think the should sand it down a bit more but over all its good craftsmanship
