The Wildwood Dulcimer features four string courses with loop end strings, including a wound string at the top and two unwound strings tuned in unison at the bottom. While various tunings are possible, the traditional DADD tuning is recommended for ease of play. The diatonic scale fret arrangement, enhanced by the "6 1/2" fret, offers a wide range of musical possibilities, allowing for play in Ionian mode.
