To ensure optimal performance, the Psaltery Bow must be properly rosined before use. Begin by applying rosin to the ends of the hairs with short, fast strokes, then continue to rosin the full length from end to end. Rotate the rosin cake under the hairs to maintain a flat surface and prevent damage. A well-rosined bow will have an even distribution of rosin powder throughout the hair. Remember to avoid touching the bow hair with your hands, as oils from your skin can create slick spots that hinder rosin retention.

The bow measures 15 1/4" in overall length, with a draw length of 13 7/8". After each use, clean your bow with a soft dry cloth. The Roosebeck Microfiber Polishing Cloth, sold separately (item code RBSMFPI), is perfect for this purpose. Don't let broken or loose hairs worry you; they are common and do not affect the bow's performance. Simply cut the broken hair, leaving a small portion at both ends.
