Made with a cane rattan material with flattened bottle caps used for jingles. Makes a metallic tambourine sound. They are easy to hold and play. Based on the ancient sistrum rattle found in Egypt and still played today in East Africa.
Our latest batch has a curved frame (see photo). It sounds the same as the more angular-framed sistrum in the video/sound sample.
